We are Not Invincible

Have you seen a short-haired girl woman passing by with a big backpack on her back, an iPhone on her hand and an ID card hanging on her neck? If so, did you see how confident she was?  Did you see how she manage to smile and keeping a conversation going among big bosses and stakeholders?

Have you seen her? Do you think you have seen her somewhere or met her sometime? Do you know her or think you know her? I bet you don't as you have only seen a facade.

She may or may not be me, a 20-something reporter. A writer. A dreamer. A companion. A secret.

She's just a woman, a strong yet fragile woman.

A well-educated person who sometimes hate herself for being stupid, reckless and plain naive. She may or may not be me, a reminder that I--or perhaps we--am not invincible. We are prone to naiveness, temptation and mistakes.

Mistakes.

Mistakes are made to be an education for us. Or you and I, separately.

Next time you see the girl woman, remember that you don't know her. Remember that she was more than pages from her social media. She was more than a smile, less than a sin. She may or may not be me, a reminder that I--or perhaps we--am not invincible.
